Absolutely the best family memories happened over a game of Phase 10. If you have more than 4 players (wh ich we often did) we made up different color master cards on post it notes so more of us could play the masters version and added a second deck of Phase 10 playing cards. The best part is that when the playing cards (not the masters cards) get sticky and too hard to deal you can just replace them with a new deck. It isn't necessarily easier to win but it does add to the friendly competition. I like this version much better than the original. Players compete in the same phase at the same time. As stated, you play Phase 10 in phases, and you must play these phases in order. Play goes clockwise around the circle, so start the game with the player to the left of the dealer. When they passed the game went to one of the kids and I have been searching ever since. Once the dealer deals all the cards and set-up is complete, the game can begin.
When we all got together (my sister, brother-in-law and some or all of their 6 kids, grand kids, and even some times great grand kids we would have a blast playing. My late sister and brother-in-law had one and every time I visited them we would spend hours playing this game and having the best times. Have been looking for this Masters Edition for a few years.
